About Debbie Lane
My teaching career started at Hahn School as a student teacher in Mrs. Janulaw's kindergarten class! I was a substitute teacher for a year, and then I was hired at Gold Ridge School, where I taught first and fourth grades for six years. This is my sixth year at Hahn teaching fifth grade. I am married and live in Rohnert Park. Bob and I have one grown son, Brian, and an energetic dog, Jake. Bob and I love to travel, our two favorite places being Tahoe and Puerto Vallarta. Looking forward to another great year with Mrs. Whitestine and your children! » read more...

Room 3 News!!
LA: We are still reading "Witch of Blackbird Pond." This is a high level novel about colonial life as a Puritan. Math: We have started our geometry unit. Science: We will begin the Human Body in the weeks ahead. Social Studies: We have jumped into colonial times. The kids will be discussing the differences between the three different colonial regions (Southern, Middle and New England). We are continuing work on our state project scrapbook. The kids are fininshing up a letter they have written to a 5th grade class in their state. We will be mailing these with a self addressed stamped envelope. Hopefully we get a letter returned to us! We will need stamps for this. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!!! Report cards go home on Friday, 3/19. » read more...
