Georgia O'Keeffe was born November 15, 1887, in a farmhouse near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Georgia's mother made her and her sisters attend art classes. Because her parents believed she did so well, they suggested she attend art school.
Georgia O'Keeffe is most noted for her large paintings of flowers and her paintings of desert life. Although she spent much of her life in New York City, she loved the natural beauty of New Mexico. She was married to the photographer Alfred Stieglitz. » read more...
